If you got a product/service already, it's time to promote it according to your target market. If you're targeting to a lot of people, no specific class, you can promote it in a mass way. You can use so many media to promote it, from conventional to digital ones. Conventional ones can be like spreading flyers in nearby neighborhood, put ads on local papers/magazines, or put ads on any digital platform. The goal is to reach as many people as you can.
Flyers are cheap but you have to think that usually people won't keep flyers for too long. They regard it as just a piece of brief information. If they think they'll need it they can keep it but if they don't need it they'll dumped it straight away. Otherwise you can put ads on local papers/magazines. They are more expensive indeed but most people tend to keep local papers/magazines longer than flyers because there are more vary and useful information inside. So they'll more likely to see your ads again in the future when they open the papers/magazines again. More over, you can also create your product's story beside your ad. Even more with this digital era coming, you can also put ads on any digital platform from Google to any kind of social media available now. You can set monthly budget on it to best suit your need.
But if your product is targeting a specific class, especially upper class, your promotion style should be suited to them. It'll be all about image creation. The goal is to create such an image around your product/service to make it delicate. You can use engaging words, desirable photos, or even throwing up social events to invite your target market there. In short, you need some kind of "Public-Relation" skill to best use this kind of promotion. Engaging words can be use to fit with your target market's language and culture. Delicate photos should be use consistently to remind people about what kind of image are you trying to create. Even social events can be useful to create deeper engagement between you and your target market. So they'll know you're not just trying to sell all the time but also make meaningful conversation with them.
There are still plenty of ways on doing promotions, it's all adjustable according to what type of people are you targeting, what class are you targeting. If you want to discuss more about promotion methods you'll use, you can contact me to my email: chrissen.dharmawan@gmail.com.
